Hey everyone - MandaKay here, and a while back Shabby Miss Jenn asked any of us girls if we wanted to host a challenge here we could! So with the new kit that SMJ put out, Winter Ponies, I thought that now was as good a time as ever! So please play along and lets find out how many people we can get to participate. Here's the deal: I love scraplifts/sketches/templates, so since I just finished up a LO I thought "what about doing a scraplift of the LO"? The rules are as follows: Scraplfit the below LO - putting your own spin on it. Use at least two items from SMJD! Post a link to your LO here in the comments. You have until Jan. 5 to post a LO link here and at random we will pick one person to win a $25 GC and then three people will be chosen to pick a kit of your choice from this section at SMJ Designs Shoppe! So come on girls - let's SCRAP!

Hello everyone! I hope you've safely recovered from all the Christmas joy! :o) I took a stroll down memory lane and found photos that I'd taken in early Fall and I couldn't resist creating a layout. I love the warm light and the pink flower and even more awesome, SMJ's Winter Ponies kit that I used on this LO. :o)

Hope you have a fabulous New Year!

I finally finished making all of the Christmas gifts this year, and then I thought - hey, why not make my own gift wrap and cards for the gifts too :)! I learned on Kayla's blog how to use inexpensive sketch paper to make homemade wrapping paper, so I used that idea and here's what I came up with!! Everything is from the Xmas Market kit - sooooo fun! OK, now that the gifts are all ready, I can get back to scrapping - and maybe join a challenge or two - like the fun challenge from MandaKay (see below)!

Here it is ... our 2007 Christmas photo card (it is a 4x6 card). Most of the elements I used are from the Tree Trimmin' Party kit. I also used a few elements from Shabby Snowkisses (the tabs with our names) and Beloved Buttons.
You can click on the image to see it larger ... or see it posted in a gallery online HERE.

A perfect start to December... I woke up this morning to about five inches of freshly fallen snow...lots of shoveling but so much fun for the kids...it is still falling in quarter-size flakes - I took some photos, made a cup of hot chocolate and scrapped this as I watched the kids outside...

Shabby Miss Jenn's new Snowkisses Kit is perfect for winter layouts... Last night I spent a lot of time at Shutterfly working on Christmas gifts...who knew my hobby could be so useful when it came to creative Christmas presents - and I am not just talking photo books either - some of my favorite gift ideas are - magnets...mouse pads...and maybe even a personalized deck of cards...

Here is the proof of a mousepad I created (also uses the Snowkisses Kit) can you see a pattern here??

Mousepad

So have some fun with your Shabby Miss Jenn kits and make some fun digital Christmas presents... I love being able to justify what I spend on digital when I save so much using what I have to create things my family really will enjoy...

Sorry I seem a bit late getting this page up to share ... Christmas preparations at our house are in full swing so my computer time is less than normal, LOL!
So what do you think of SMJ's new kits? Aren't they just amazing? This page was created using elements from the new Tree Trimmin' Party kit. (Click on image to see larger version. You can also check out the page HERE.)
I hope you are enjoying the season with your loved ones. Stay tuned later this weekend for my Christmas photo card!
